Settlements Near Alegate

In 1054, The Flighty Hex attacked Alegate from the south. After the attack was repelled, Baron Maltose of Alegate commissioned a map of the tropical lands south of the dwarf-inhabited mountains.

Every surviving nation has a stake in this contested region. An overview of the nations is available elsewhere, but here is a summary of the colors used on this map:

• Diveseizure – great forest retreat of Watchful Thorn, and capital of their short-lived nation. Last resident was killed by a minotaur in 57. Reclaimed in 1050 by Eagle of Spring. Overthrown later that year by Vigorous Confederacy, which installed a bandit gang as rulers.
• Whippedautumn – delved by Oceanic Attic. Destroyed by the Bronze Colossus in 769. Reclaimed by a bandit group associated with Vigorous Confederacy in 1050.
• Authorbad – pit dug by Unwelcome Monsters. Taken by Vigorous Confederacy in 779.
• Bridgemenaces – pit dug by Unwelcome Monsters. Taken by Vigorous Confederacy in 880.
• Fiendlashes – pit dug by Unwelcome Monsters. Taken by Vigorous Confederacy in 880.
• Malicebunion – pit dug by Unwelcome Monsters. Taken by Vigorous Confederacy in 779. There was a large battle here between Vigorous Confederacy and the Eagle of Spring in 1050.

• Cloaksweetness – founded by Watchful Thorn. Last resident slain by a horned horror in 56. Reclaimed by Eagle of Spring in 1050.
• Hawkconvents – founded by Watchful Thorn. Destroyed by the Jungle Titan in 40. Reclaimed by Eagle of Spring in 1050.
• Sweetpanthers – founded by Watchful Thorn. Destroyed by Jungle Titan in 58. Reclaimed by Eagle of Spring in 1050. Repelled attack by Vigorous Confederacy later that year.
• Tressbristles – founded by Watchful Thorn. Last resident was abducted by a gloom troll in 43. Reclaimed by Eagle of Spring in 1050.
